Jack began his career with an ABC affiliate in Jackson, Tennessee doing on-air work in weather and sports. Later he went on to anchor weather in the role of chief meteorologist for television stations in Florida, Texas, California and New York. 

While in California he was twice honored with Golden Mike Awards and Associated Press Awards for best weathercast in California and Nevada. 

After a long on-air career he moved into local sales and sales management for both television and radio stations in California and Oregon. He later was regional manager for Baron Services, a Doppler Weather Radar company based in Huntsville, Alabama. 

Jack attended Lambuth College and Mississippi State University completing studies in Broadcast Meteorology. 

Jack has been married for more than 25 years to Pam and they have two children.
